Gearbox.com’s new 2017 Mazda6 sport-utility vehicle, a new model that combines Mazda’s popular MX-5 Miata with a modern Mazda6 hatchback and sedan, is expected to make its debut later this year.
The new vehicle is the first in a new generation of MX-series Mazda6s that combine Mazda’s MX-4 Miata platform with the Mazda6 Hatchback and Sport Sedan.
Mazda also redesigned the hatchback’s body and engine to improve the interior, and Mazda says the hatch will be available in two colors.
The 2017 Mazda 6 will debut in 2019 in four colors, including black and red.
The Mazda6 will have a base price of $22,400.
The hatchback will start at $24,400, while the sedan will cost $27,900.
A full list of available color options is available at the Mazda website.
It will come in two body styles, with the hatchling in the base and the sedan in the top trim.
The top trim will include the 3.0L twin-turbocharged engine and six-speed automatic transmission, as well as the 6-speed manual.
