Apple has been forced to issue a firmware update for the iPod touch that fixes an issue with the iPod shuffle, causing the device to no longer sync with iTunes.
Affected iPods include the Apple Watch, the iPad Air and the iPad mini, which are all affected.
In a blog post, Apple said it had implemented an update that fixed a “number of known issues that cause the iPod Touch to lock up.”
Apple also confirmed it was working on a firmware fix for an older iPod model that could be released later this year.
The update fixes a “known issue that causes the iPod to lockup on some devices” in iOS 9, Apple’s next major release.
